Our Impact
Bridging the E-scooter Gender Gap: Enhancing Adoption and Safety
Once thought of as just “boys’ toys”, e-scooters are now widely adopted by all genders as a mainstream transport option. The report analyses our rider demographics and provides recommendations for how to create safer and more inclusive micromobility programmes for all. We further examine our riders’ perceptions of e-scooters in relation to their risk tolerance, vehicle design, city infrastructure and night-time riding.

Sustainability Drives Us
In order to meet the environmental promise of shared micromobility, we are focused on providing an alternative to unnecessary car trips.
Carbon Negative by 2025
We remain resolute in helping towns and cities achieve their air quality and sustainability goals. Behind the scenes, we are analysing every aspect of our business – from supply chain and manufacturing to operations, to end of life treatment – and setting forward an ambitious sustainability strategy to further reduce our emissions footprint.
Supplier Code of Conduct
Climate and social responsibility extends to the suppliers we choose to work with. We hold our suppliers to stringent standards, including being respectful of the environment, promoting ethical employment, safe and respectful work conditions, and practicing business integrity.
Certified Carbon Neutral
Our global operations are certified Carbon Neutral and we offset unavoidable emissions with credits that meet the Gold Standard and Verified Carbon Standard. To measure our carbon footprint, Andes undertakes a strict carbon reporting exercise across Scope 1, 2 and 3 through the Carbon Reduction Institute’s NoCO2 Certification programme.
Developing Our Communities
We aim to deliver a service that creates a positive impact on the communities where we operate, making them more prosperous and ensuring our service is equitable and accessible.
Economic Prosperity
Other than providing a safe, affordable, and sustainable way to travel, Andes e-scooter and e-bike programmes encourage tourists and locals to see more, do more and spend more, giving a direct boost to local economies. Globally, about 7 in 10 Andes trips resulted in a purchase at a local business.
Andes Access
To meet the diverse needs and social realities in our operating cities, Andes Access is a global initiative that aims to make our service more equitable and accessible. We work with each city to identify communities that would benefit from concession passes and discounted or free rides. This helps enable as many people as possible to reap the benefits of micromobility.
Accessibility through partnerships
Andes recognises that people with disabilities are experts in their own experiences and the value they offer in sharing those experiences. We consult with disability advocacy groups in our markets to ensure our service promotes accessible streets and is sensitive to the needs of all users.
Safety in Our DNA
The safety of our riders and the wider community is our number one priority.
Innovation that protects people
Our decision to invest in safety innovation from the start has allowed us to answer to the specific safety needs of each community where we operate. Our e-scooters are designed in-house and specifically for shared operations, and have a constant pipeline of new safety features being developed and tested.
Creating safer streets
Andes #ScootSafe campaigns are created in conjunction with city councils, safety partners, and local organisations to promote safe and responsible riding. Safety Ambassadors help onboard new riders, ensuring they are aware of how to use our vehicles safely and how to protect pedestrians when riding and parking.
Working with safety partners
In addition to working with city councils, Andes also actively teams up with local safety partners across our markets to promote road safety. Together, we co-develop safety guidelines, campaigns, and activities, leading the way in best practices for e-scooter and e-bike safety.
